Oh What's up!?
So why have I chosen to sacrifice 18 months of my life, time and money to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of Sacramento?
Well . . .
Imagine for a second that you just had the best day ever, you got a free t-shirt and you snagged the last pint of your favorite ice cream at the grocery store, or something like that. Imagine that you walk outside and your heart is so full, you are so happy, you feel like your chest is going to burst open and confetti is going to litter the ground. Imagine that you want everyone in the world to be as happy as you are at this moment, you want to shout from the rooftops, HEY GUESS WHAT! I’M SO HAPPY - LET ME MAKE YOU HAPPY, TOO! Well, that’s how I feel about serving a mission.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ makes me so happy that I wish I could shout it from the rooftops without someone taking some kind of legal action against me. My heart gets so full when I talk about how much the Gospel has blessed my life and how wonderful it is to have the knowledge about where I came from, why I’m here, and where I’m going. How could I not want to share something that makes me so happy and has blessed my life so much? How could I have something so great and not want other people to experience the joy it can bring? I can’t. So I’m serving a mission. This is only the beginning.
Vaya con Dios,
Sister Skidmore
